Children's Learning Center will be opening the first of 2004. Only children of an employee for New Hanover Health Network will eligible for enrolment. To enroll, at least one parent must currently work at NHHN.

Curriculum

All teachers at Children's Learning Center of NHHN plan activities and prepare the environment to meet the cognitive, emotional, social, physical, and creative development of each child. The Half-Day and Young Preschool classrooms utilize Scholastic's Building Language for Literacy as a means to explore and heighten awareness of the world around them. The Older Preschool classroom continues with Phase 2 of the Scholastic curriculum. They will be provided with real world connections so as to build a solid foundation in language and literacy. The Pre-K classrooms use a comprehensive curriculum called Let's Begin With The Letter People. This program focuses on oral language, preparation for literacy, and phonological awareness.

Children's Learning Center of NHHN provides a positive learning environment where children can develop in a stimulating and secure setting. The foundation of our school is to recognize the individuality of each child and encourage them to learn, grow, and build confidence.
